Technology can simulate care.
It cannot love.

A machine can generate a response.
It cannot suffer with you.
It cannot choose you.
It cannot love you.
Love requires something deeper:
Presence.

Shared experience.
Love enters into reality.

The danger is not that AI becomes too powerful.
The danger is that we begin to accept simulation as a substitute for connection.
That we settle for:
Responses instead of relationship
Convenience instead of presence
Efficiency instead of care
Human flourishing has always depended on something more:
Being seen.
Being known.
Being loved.
Not processed.
So the question becomes:
Where am I accepting simulation…
instead of choosing relationship?
