Artificial intelligence is transforming the world at extraordinary speed. Systems that once served as tools are now beginning to simulate conversation, companionship, guidance, and even forms of care traditionally rooted in human relationships. The InterfAIth project was born from a simple but urgent question: how do we remain deeply human in an age increasingly shaped by intelligent machines? Drawing from the wisdom of multiple faith traditions—and grounded in the contemplative spirit of the Celtic Franciscan path—InterfAIth explores how ancient spiritual insight can help guide modern technological power toward compassion, wisdom, and human flourishing.
InterfAIth is both a conversation and a community. Through stories, practices, leadership labs, and shared reflection, it invites people of faith, curiosity, and goodwill to explore how spiritual wisdom can illuminate the ethical and relational challenges of artificial intelligence. Rather than resisting technology, we seek to cultivate the deeper capacities that machines cannot replicate: presence, empathy, moral courage, and love. In doing so, InterfAIth hopes to help shape a future where innovation serves the flourishing of people and communities, and where the sacred dignity of human relationship remains at the center of our shared technological age.
